Healthy skin starts with an accurate diagnosis

We care for skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes with a thorough diagnosis and follow-up designed around you, giving you the peace of mind that every recommendation responds to what your skin truly needs.

What is clinical dermatology

Clinical dermatology is the medical specialty dedicated to diagnosing, treating and preventing diseases of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes.

The skin is the body’s largest organ and reflects a great deal of what happens both inside and outside you. It can be affected by hundreds of different processes, from inflammatory and infectious conditions to precancerous lesions, and catching them early makes a real difference to the outcome.

Because every person arrives with their own particular characteristics, an individualised assessment is the basis of quality care. Clinical examination, supported where appropriate by tools such as digital dermoscopy, allows us to refine the diagnosis and choose the best treatment for each case.

Our approach

The best treatment always starts with an accurate diagnosis

We take the time needed to understand your medical history, examine your skin thoroughly and explain clearly what is happening and what your options are.

We look for more than just resolving a specific lesion: comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to you. That means recommending only what brings a real benefit and putting your safety first.

And when the case calls for it, combining clinical dermatology, surgery, laser and aesthetic medicine lets us support you from start to finish, maintaining continuity of care.

What we do

Treatments and technology

01
Mole check-ups
Expert monitoring of your moles to catch any change early.
A complete dermatological assessment through clinical examination and dermoscopy to detect suspicious lesions and, when appropriate, set up individual follow-up. Dermoscopy performed by trained dermatologists offers greater diagnostic accuracy than examination with the naked eye.
02
Digital full-body mole mapping with FotoFinder®
High-precision photographic monitoring to watch over your skin over time.
Especially recommended for people with multiple moles, a personal or family history of melanoma, or a higher risk of skin cancer. The system photographically records lesions and allows them to be compared over time, picking up subtle changes or new lesions for more precise follow-up.
03
Cryotherapy
Quick, minimally invasive removal of benign lesions using cold.
Treatment with liquid nitrogen to remove certain benign and precancerous skin lesions — such as viral warts, actinic keratoses or some seborrhoeic keratoses — quickly and with minimal invasiveness.
04
Electrocoagulation
Precise removal of small benign lesions in the same visit.
High-frequency electrical current used to remove benign lesions such as skin tags, cherry angiomas, some seborrhoeic keratoses, warts or certain condylomas, using the most suitable technique for each lesion.
05
Intralesional injections
Medication applied exactly where it’s needed, for specific lesions.
Localised administration of medication, usually corticosteroids, inside certain lesions to treat conditions such as keloids, hypertrophic scars, alopecia areata or some inflammatory skin diseases.
06
Photodynamic therapy (PDT)
Light-based treatment for certain precancerous and superficial lesions.
Combines a photosensitising agent with a specific light source to treat certain precancerous lesions and some superficial skin cancers in selected patients. It can also be useful in some cases of photoageing. Its indications follow clinical guidelines and the characteristics of each lesion.
07
Hyperhidrosis treatment
Effective control of excessive sweating when creams fall short.
Botulinum toxin is an effective treatment for excessive underarm sweating when topical measures aren’t enough. In selected cases it is also used for palmar or plantar hyperhidrosis after an individual assessment, bearing in mind that results there tend to be more modest.
How we work

What the process looks like

01
We listen to your story.
The first visit starts with a detailed medical history and a complete dermatological examination.
02
We refine the diagnosis.
When appropriate, we add dermoscopy or digital body mapping to gain precision and make follow-up easier.
03
We decide together.
Once the diagnosis is clear, we explain the alternatives, their benefits, limitations and possible effects, and choose the way forward together.
04
We treat and support you.
Whenever possible, procedures such as cryotherapy, electrocoagulation or certain injections are carried out during the same visit. In other cases, we schedule the treatment or follow-up required.

Answering your questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
You can book your visit directly, whether for a specific skin concern or a preventive skin check.
How often should I have my moles checked?
It depends on the number of moles you have, your personal and family history, your skin type and the presence of atypical lesions. After your first assessment we’ll recommend the most suitable frequency; as a general guide, a yearly check-up is usually advised.
Can treatments be done on the same day as the consultation?
Whenever the diagnosis and the characteristics of the lesion allow it, many minor procedures are carried out during the same visit.
What happens if a suspicious lesion is found during the examination?
We assess it and explain the diagnostic and treatment options. Depending on the case, we may recommend follow-up, a biopsy or surgical treatment.
What can I do to help prevent skin cancer?
Daily sun protection, mindful sun exposure, regular self-examination and dermatological check-ups are the most effective measures for preventing skin cancer and catching it early.
